What Is Duplicate Management?

Duplicate Management is a feature in Breakcold that finds and merges duplicate records like contacts so your database stays clean and accurate.

How It Works

Breakcold automatically detects possible duplicate contacts using:
  • Same full name
  • Same LinkedIn URL or email address
  • And 20+ other smart checks
⚠️ Note: Breakcold does not merge duplicates automatically. You’ll need to manually review each flagged match and choose what to do.

What You Can Do

  • Merge duplicates individually
  • Use bulk merge for multiple confirmed matches
  • Mark as “Not a duplicate” if the contact is valid and should remain separate

  • Regularly review the Duplicate Management section
  • Use bulk merge when confident about multiple matches
  • Always verify before merging to avoid data loss
  • Use consistent formats when importing or creating contacts
  • Take advantage of the Chrome extension to help prevent duplicates before
  • they’re added
💡 Tip: When using the Chrome extension, Breakcold will notify you if a contact already exists helping you avoid duplicates at the source.
