# What is Connection Strength and how does it work?

> Connection Strength is automatically calculated based on your Email and LinkedIn interactions with a lead.

Connection Strength is automatically calculated based on your **Email and LinkedIn interactions** with a lead. The score is categorized as follows:

* **None**: 0
* **Weak**: 1–25
* **Medium**: 26–49
* **Good**: 50–74
* **Strong**: 75+

Without going too deep into the algorithm, it's designed to reflect real engagement, you won’t be able to “cheat” the score by simply liking all of a lead's LinkedIn posts. Every action is weighted differently depending on the stage of the interaction to keep the scoring realistic.

If no interactions occur, the score will gradually decrease over time.
